Trip Summary

My trip starts with my flight from Dallas getting delayed. Luckily the bar was right across from my gate so I go over there to have a beer or three. Get to Atlanta where I've missed my connection. They put me on the standby list for the next 2 flights out. First comes and goes without me getting on it. I'm getting nervous now. I call Sheila to have her look at hotels for me in Atlanta. Luckily I didn't need it and got on the last flight. Kristen, Sara and Angie pick me up from the airport. Angie is drunk and was mad dad tricked her into going home. She wanted to go out dancing. haha! Dad is happy to see me and I climb onto his 60 year old lap for a hug. Wake up the next morning pretty early. Angie and I go to Hardees to get biscuits and gravy. We make a stop on the way so she can get smokes and for us to get drinks for the beach. Get to Hardees 3 minutes after they stop serving breakfast . Bastards! Settle on crappy Mcdonalds hamburgers. I stop at the produce market for a pound and a half of boiled peanuts. Yum! So after we eat, us 3 sisters head to the beach. As soon as we sit our stuff down we are headed for the water because it was blazing out there. Get back to our towels and open up Smirnoff twisted V's. The watermelon ones are awesome. Yes, I gave my 18 year old sister alcohol. These are completely harmless. Nothing like the time she was 16 and we were doing tequila shots. A guy I went to high school with was there with his little boy. I hadn't seen him in about 12 year years so it was really weird that we even recognized each other. Though I couldn't remember his name. That is so embarrassing. He said he's coming to Dallas to visit his girlfriend in a week or so so I told him he could call me to go out with boyfriend and co if we're doing anything. Beach trip didn't last long. It was so hot I couldn't even drink. Plus Kristen tells me a story about a girl getting bit by a shark a few weeks ago and she was on her period......I didn't know I could walk on water. Dad's birthday party started at 5. There were about 50 people there. We had tons of food, wine, liquor, and a keg. The keg floated at 11:30 ish. Some people brought some beer so I just drank a couple of those. It was really great to see everyone. I've known most of these people 10 or 15 years and they are a great bunch. I went to bed pretty early, about 1am. I believe it went till about 3 ish. Sunday I get up really early. I started cleaning up the kitchen and stuff. That took about an hour or more. What a mess! Note to self, never allow someone to make cheese fondue and leave it in the pot with a scorched bottom. I really almost puked scraping that out. Went out on the boat to Crab Island until about 3:15 ish. It started to rain and lightning a bit and then kinda cleared up the rest of the time. Rushed back home to shower (this meant I got out of cleaning the boat haha!) so I could make my 6:30 flight only to find out that it was delayed in Atlanta because of mechanical problems. I didn't even end up getting to Atlanta that night. I stayed another night in Ft. Walton and left out this morning at 6:25am. ugg!! I am a tired girl. And my mouth is dry dry. I need to drink at least 10 glasses of water today. I will try to get some pictures up later this week.
