You're So Vain You Probably Think This Blog Is About You

I'm injured. I hate it. I've almost cried about it like 5 times. I want to run. I can't stand looking at my dads and Marks running log and seeing the miles they are putting in. I got in a mile walk this morning. Big freaking deal! Carrot only stopped to pee like 86 times slowing us down. We did jog about 3 blocks and that felt fine. There is no way I can keep myself from running tomorrow. I may go shopping with Nicki in the morning. That would be my only distraction. They are having a 50 percent off sale at Kohls. I got payed today, made bonus, and really honestly need winter clothes.

In other news. I see my engagment ring was sold on ebay. Congrats to the winner of that somewhere. It was a pretty nice ring. I mean ok not as nice as I would have thought because he acted like such a huge diamond snob. You should have heard him. But nice still.

Oh this post is so lovely and negative. Let's see what I can come up with that is positive......Sheila and Aarons wedding reception is tomorrow. That will be fun. Being a bridesmaid you would think I would have more obligations but somehow I escaped with only having to make some spinach dip. I don't even have to wear the dress. I seem to have left it at my last residence. Oh well. Oh right, back to positive. Reception fun, yup. Then on Sunday we are going to the state fair. I really am excited about that. I've only been once and it was probably 3 years ago or so. And the company will be good. :)

Anyway that's about it. I'll try to post something decent later today. :)

Shopping

The Forerunner 201 offers athletes an easy-to-read display, ergonomic wristband, and integrated GPS sensor that provides precise speed, distance, and pace data

I don't need this I don't need this I don't need this I don't need this.

It's obviously pms time. Or actually it is the m time. Obessesing about cleaning, out of the blue shopping, uncontrollable eating....it just sucks being a girl. In related news, I can pig out on Buffalo Wild Wings tonight.

Oooh ooooh witchy woman

Wednesday night I had plans to meet Sheila up at Buffalo Wild Wings at 6:30. This gives me enough time to get there from work. It does not allow for this lady that always calls at the end of the day to change two southwest tickets and book a new one. She was in a hurry and trying to get off the phone with me. Finally I say, since you're in a hurry and it's already AFTER 6 do you want me to just call you back in the morning to finish this up? She said sure, she had a flight to catch. She's on the west coast so she doesn't even think that maybe it's late in the day for me. So, I get in on Thursday morning and call her as soon as I get in. Which is 7am her time. hahaha! She was slightly off gaurd and said she had to get her day planner and put the phone down for a few minutes. Probably still rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

Update

I'm still alive. Drinking and drunk stories are temporarily being replaced with running crap. Then after the marathon I hope for there to be a nice balance between the two. Until then I'm completely running obsessed. Luckily I have a few running people to chat with about it because I'm sure it gets old to the "others". Those non runners. ;) Friday I was nervous all day for my race the next day. Oh and hungover part of the day from all the draft beer at Dukes. I love the $5 pitchers but seriously, c'mon, that shit is painful on the cabeza. Saturday was good and bad. Bad because where they had us park for the race hurt poor little hondie again. I don't want to talk about it. Good because I did great in my race. I ran the 15K in 1:17:31. That's a 8:20 pace for 9.3 miles. Very good considering I just started training a month ago. I even placed/got medal in my age group. Had lunch with Dianna at Jason's Deli. Laid around recovering for a while. Then a group of us went to Hurricane Bar and Grill on Greenville. It's a loud group of guys watching football on Saturdays. Food was ehhh ok. Then we went.....we went....time warp....and then we went out to Knox Street, Manhattan then back to Knox because one of our friends jeans were "too faded" to get into Manhattans. Oh, saw Cory Morrow at Hurricane sitting on the patio with a girl having chips, queso, fried pickles and drinks. It's just weird to see people out of their normal element that you see them in. Sunday morning had breakfast at Luckys. Hostess was very sweet on Ron. In fact said he was GORGEOUS RON!! Mimosas are big and good there. The black bean breakfast burrito is huge and WONDERFUL. Got hair cut, watched football, tended to a busted lip, had taco bell and somehow made it to bed. Monday was fairly uneventful. Laguna Beach was good as always and dinner was good food from Eatzis. This morning a lady tried to run me over in broad daylight. I cussed at her and sprinted the rest of the way home. It was not a good run really. Felt tight and then somehow ran too far. Took a diff route back which I think helped take some distance off. Otherwise it would have been 9 miles. I only intended to run 5 or 6. Some of my music on my Nano is annoying me so I need to spend some time on that tonight. Also going to watch Real World and see it my television debut is here yet.....

It was a close call but no running disaster yet

I was running on a sidewalk passed a place of business. There was a truck parked there with some big long metal bars sticking out the back. I almost ran smack into them. That would have left a mark.

I have so little good material to post lately

But since Nicki thought this was funny.....So, I ran into a tree today. Yeah, I was running under it and I didn't duck enough and it hit me in the head.

That is all. Stay tuned for other running disasters. I'm thinking of a possible few:

*fall into a man hole
*run through a spider web...wait I already did that one last month
*trip on a curb
*run into a parked car
*run into old men in that think they have right away...kinda did that today.
*be chased by a dog
*have bum laying on bench scare me and make me fall into creek.
*get mugged
*get run over by car of hispanics that I flip off when they honk
*get lost and have to call for a ride

I'll let you know when they start happening.

Alterior motive?

I think so. So he gives me the ipod nano for my birthday. Last night he says "you know that is the number one item to have for getting mugged". Great!!!!!! Ok, he was just kidding, right?

I have no excuses now

This was one of my birthday presents with a hot pink arm band.....and then I'm getting some more running clothes. I'm gonna be a mean, lean running machine. I am going to run 7 or 8 in the morning. A few 4 milers Wed and Thursday. Off on Friday and then this http://www.active.com/event_detail.cfm?event_id=1257916 on Saturday. This will put me at 25 miles for the week which is perfect!

I had a great birthday weekend. I never want the weekends to end though. :(

Your Brain is 73.33% Female, 26.67% Male

Your brain leans female

You think with your heart, not your head

Sweet and considerate, you are a giver

But you're tough enough not to let anyone take advantage of you!

Holy crap that was a weekend!

Friday night Ron, Jeremy, Tiffany and I went to the Improv comedy club in Addison. All 3 comedians were really funny.

Saturday I went over to Sheilas. I ran into her mom, sister and neice in Albertsons which was kinda cool. I didn't say anything to Are about her dog dying. I just feel really bad for her. Sheila and I hung out a few hours at the pool. Then her brother in law, her and I headed back to Dallas to see Dave Matthews Band play at Smirnoff. I was in disbelief that I was finally at a Dave concert. Side note-I don't recommend the yard thingies of margarita/daquiri. yuck!

Sunday was the pool party at Roland and Lindsey's. That was a lot of fun. Everyone is so nice and I had a lot of fun playing in the pool.

Monday was Chuys, 40 Year Old Virgin, Thirteen and Knox Street.

I'm tired now. And I feel extremely guilty for not running. Guess I will run tonight and then again in the morning to catch back up. May go home for lunch and beat the cat for shitting in my mouth so much.
